SQUERcon is the oldest knowledge-sharing format we have. We started it when we were just five people, and even now, at 100+, the idea hasn't changed: one day where every SQUERie steps out of daily duties and we think together about the craft we share. A conference organized by us, for us.

This year's motto
If AI handles the code, where does the engineering actually go? The craft isn't disappearing, it's shifting left. Into intent, harness, constraints, risk decisions, org design. Some of that shift feels like progress. Some of it doesn't. SQUERcon is where we work out which is which.
AI raises cognitive load. How do we keep work sustainable?
Seniors now orchestrate agents. What's good practice in the middle loop?
Most code is generated. Who reviews the reviewer?
Agents reshape teams. How do organisations adapt?
The talent we need has changed. How do we hire for the age of AI?
No fixed agenda. We build it together at the start of the day from the topics in the room. Sessions are conversations, not slide decks — whoever proposes a topic hosts the room.
Lunch is used to keep learning. Anyone can grab five minutes to pitch a real AI use case they've built, hacked together, or want someone to build with them.
